Bergamo is a beautiful and cozy Italian town located on a hilltop in the center of the province of Lombardy. It was founded by the Celts and named after one of their gods, Bergimus. Bergamo is also famous for being the birthplace of Harlequin or Truffaldino, a world-renowned fictional character. The town is featured in the play 'The Servant of Two Masters' by Carlo Goldoni, where Truffaldino is a witty and mischievous servant who works for two masters at the same time. The play has been performed successfully for over 200 years in theaters all over the world.
